Tiny Cabin for 4: 6 min to Casino, 14 to Smokies

Whittier, NC, United States

4 guests
1 bedroom
1 bathroom

A tiny cabin in the trees, right off Highway 441 and minutes from everything. The Cherokee Casino is 6 minutes. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is 14 minutes. Downtown Bryson City and Sylva are each about 13 minutes. Queen bed downstairs, two twin mattresses in a loft for the kids. Full kitchen, full bathroom, washer and dryer. Private deck and a hammock outside. You'll hear the highway from the deck, but guests say it's a better deal than the casino hotel and closer to the park too!

Good to know

Ace in the Hole is a tiny cabin that sleeps up to four. The main floor has a queen bed, full kitchen, full bathroom with shower, washer and dryer, and a living area with two chairs and a TV. The loft has two twin mattresses and is accessed by ladder. Kids love it up there. Adults can use it too, but the ceilings are low, so the loft isn't a good fit for anyone tall. Outside there's a deck, a hammock, a picnic table, and string lights. The cabin sits right off Highway 441, which is what makes the drive times so short: - Harrah's Cherokee Casino: 6 minutes - Great Smoky Mountains National Park: 14 minutes - Downtown Bryson City: 13 minutes - Downtown Sylva: 13 minutes - Sequoyah National Golf Club: 5 minutes Close to everything, but it feels tucked away once you're here. Most guests use it as a base camp, heading to the park or the casino during the day and coming back to something quiet at night. One guest put it simply: they didn't know why anyone would choose a hotel room over this.

Other Details to Note

- Loft Access: The loft is reached by ladder (300 pounds weight limit) and has low, sloped ceilings. Not suitable for infants or anyone with mobility concerns. - Ceiling Height: This is a tiny cabin. Guests over 6'3" have mentioned tight clearance in places, especially the loft. - Highway Noise: The cabin is right off Highway 441. You'll hear traffic from the deck and faintly inside. That's also why the drive times are so short. Most guests say it doesn't affect sleep. Fans are provided if you want white noise. - Driveway: Gravel with some uneven spots. Low-clearance vehicles may scrape and are not recommended. Standard SUVs, trucks, and sedans with normal clearance are fine. - Shared Driveway: You'll pass another cabin on the way in. The cabins are not visible to each other once you're parked. - Parking: Space for two cars.

Accessibility and Availability

Neighborhood

The cabin is in Whittier, a quiet area between Cherokee and Bryson City. It's not a walkable spot and the setting is honest: you can see and hear the highway, and the surroundings are trees and gravel road. But the location is the whole point. You're centered between everything in the region without paying resort prices. Cherokee has the casino, cultural sites, and the main entrance to the national park. Bryson City has a walkable downtown with a couple of breweries, restaurants, and the Great Smoky Mountains Railway. Sylva has its own Main Street with a few breweries, around 20 independent restaurants, bookshops, and galleries. Most guests pick a different direction each day and explore from here.

Wonderful stay 6 minutes from local casinos. Great breweries nearby (avoid the Angry Elk). Airbnb itself was stunning, charming, clean, and private. Could easily sleep 4. Host was proactive and fast with responses

We booked The Cozy Cabin because it was close to the casino and our son had a gymnastics competition there. However we were not prepared for the 10 inches of snow that fell our first night there. We were able to have friends pick up us to get to the competition and Brenda was very accommodating about extending our stay due to the inclement weather.
