A tiny cabin for two, right off Highway 441 and centered between everything in the area. Harrah's Cherokee Casino is 6 minutes away. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is 14 minutes. Downtown Bryson City and downtown Sylva are each about 13 minutes. Inside: queen bed, full kitchen with stove and oven, full bathroom, washer and dryer, and a reading loft. Outside: a covered deck and a hammock. Private, practical, and easy to get to without a long mountain drive.

Good to know

Triple 7's is a tiny cabin built for couples and solo travelers. Guests keep telling us it's bigger than they expected. The kitchen is set up for real cooking, with a stove, oven, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and basic cookware. There's a washer and dryer inside the cabin, which is especially useful after hiking, tubing, casino nights, or longer stays. The queen bed is comfortable enough that past guests have ordered the same mattress for home. Above the main floor there's a small loft reached by normal steps. It's set up as a reading nook with natural light, not a sleeping space. Temperatures up there swing more than the main level. Outside there's a covered deck and a hammock in the yard. The cabin sits right off Highway 441, which is what makes the drive times so short: - Harrah's Cherokee Casino: 6 minutes - Great Smoky Mountains National Park: 14 minutes - Downtown Bryson City: 13 minutes - Downtown Sylva: 13 minutes - Sequoyah National Golf Club: 5 minutes Most guests use the cabin as a base camp: head out to the park or the casino during the day, come back to the deck and the hammock at night.

Other Details to Note

Adults Only: This cabin is designed for one or two adults. The cabin does not have baby gear, childproofing, or a safe sleeping setup for infants. Loft: The upstairs loft is reached by normal steps and is set up as a reading nook only. It is not a sleeping area. Temperatures swing more than the main level. Highway Proximity: The cabin is right off Highway 441. You'll hear traffic from the deck and faintly inside. This is also why the drive times to attractions are so short. Shared Driveway: Another cabin on the property shares the driveway. You may occasionally see other guests driving past. The cabins themselves are not visible to each other. Parking: Gravel driveway, mostly flat. Motorcycle-friendly. Trailers are not recommended. Driveway in Winter: AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended during months with potential snow and ice. Internet: WiFi is available and works for normal browsing and streaming. If you are relying on internet for remote work, bring a backup hotspot since rural internet can occasionally be outside our control. No Outdoor Fires: There is no fire pit, and outdoor fires are not allowed on the property. No Pets: This cabin is not pet friendly.

Neighborhood

The cabin is in Whittier, right between Cherokee and Bryson City along Highway 441. Cherokee is more than the casino. The Oconaluftee Visitor Center is where elk graze in the fields most mornings and evenings, especially in fall. There's also a living-history village, an outdoor drama, a museum, and river tubing on the Oconaluftee. Bryson City is a walkable downtown along the Tuckasegee River with two breweries, a handful of restaurants, a fly fishing museum, an aquarium, and a street art trail. The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad runs excursion trains from the depot downtown, including the Polar Express in winter. Sylva has a walkable Main Street with about 20 independent restaurants, four breweries, bookstores, a chocolate shop, and the most photographed courthouse in North Carolina sitting on the hill above it all.

One of the best hosts me and my girlfriend have had. Decided to take her on a surprise trip to this cute home and she was very happy. The guide book left us so many things to do and we had so much fun exploring new spots with the help of our host! Super cute place! Highly recommend!

We have stayed here twice now and both times were great! The home is located close to the casino and not far from Bryson City, very clean, and Brenda is a great host.
