Short drives to local attractions: Harrah's Cherokee Casino is 10 minutes. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is about 18 minutes. Downtown Bryson City is 10 minutes. Queen bed in a loft, full kitchen, full bathroom, and a back deck that guests never want to leave. Two couples have gotten engaged on it! Road to the property is paved, driveway is gravel.

Good to know

This is a tiny home set back in the woods on a quiet gravel drive. From the outside it looks small. Inside, guests consistently say it's roomier than they expected, with a full kitchen (stove, oven, fridge, coffee maker), a living area with TV, and a queen bed in the loft above. The back deck is the reason people come back. It faces nothing but trees and is completely private. Morning coffee, evening drinks, stargazing, or just sitting in the hammock while hummingbirds and fireflies do their thing. Two couples have gotten engaged out there. The kitchen is surprisingly well-equipped for a space this size. Multiple guests have cooked full meals and said they had everything they needed. The home is between Cherokee and Bryson City, off the highway but close enough that nothing is far: • Harrah's Cherokee Casino: 11 minutes • Great Smoky Mountains National Park: 18 minutes • Downtown Bryson City: 10 minutes • Downtown Sylva: 16 minutes • Sequoyah National Golf Club: 7 minutes • Oconaluftee Indian Village: 13 minutes Most guests use this place as a home base for day trips. Head to the park, the casino, or one of the nearby towns during the day. Come back to something quiet at night. One guest described it as feeling like your own private forest. That about sums it up!

Other Details to Note

• Loft Bed: The queen bed is in an elevated loft accessed by steep stairs. All guests should be comfortable climbing up and down. Ceilings are low in the loft. • Bathroom Location: The full bathroom (toilet, sink, shower) is located in the bedroom area with no separating wall or door. This is a common tiny house design and works well for couples and close friends. If bathroom privacy is important to you, this layout may not be the right fit. • Another Cabin Nearby: There is another cabin on the property visible from the front of the home. The back deck is completely private and faces only woods. • Arriving After Dark: The property can be tricky to find at night. We send detailed directions with photos before your arrival, but plan to arrive before dark if you can. • Designed for Two: This home is built for two guests maximum. Not suitable for children or infants.

We had an amazing time at this tiny home! It was definitely designed for couples, with its open and cozy layout perfect for romantic getaways. The house was spotless, and everything was easy to find. However, we found the lack of privacy in the bathroom a bit awkward. We saw photos of the open bathroom, but it was hard to believe there was no door to the toilet! It was an amusing experience that my boyfriend and I will laugh about for years. Despite this minor inconvenience, the overall experience was wonderful. The shower pressure was surprisingly good, which we were pleasantly surprised by. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and memorable getaway.

My husband and I came to town for the Cherokee Rod Run and this was the perfect little woodland oasis to stay in. Quiet and peaceful and 10 minutes away from everything we needed.

Absolutely beautiful. It is tucked away in the quiet woods away from the hustle and bustle of tourist areas, but it’s still just a short drive to all of them! The central location makes it an ideal “base camp” for all of your mountain adventures. The cabin itself is so clean and well-stocked. The host seems to have put a lot of thought into making sure her guests have a comfortable stay. It was actually cold and snowing when we visited, but the cabin was so toasty warm. Our host was attentive to making sure we had a great experience from start to finish and that extended to the day we left. There was no long checklist we had to follow before checkout which was very refreshing. It was so special to stay in this unique repurposed caboose. We are grateful to our host for being so welcoming and responsive. We are already planning our next stay for the summer! This place is an incredible hidden gem in the Great Smoky Mountains! Highly recommend!!!
