Mountain home near Casino, Golf & National Park

Whittier, NC, United States

4 guests
2 bedrooms
1 bathroom

Wooded and surrounded by trees on a residential mountain road. You can't see the neighbors from the house, but Cherokee casino is 10 minutes away, Bryson City is 10, and the national park entrance is 17. It's a real house, not a hotel room or a cramped cabin. Cook in the kitchen, spread out in the living room, throw a load of laundry in. The deck overlooks the trees, and at dusk you might spot deer or foxes in the yard. Great base for the Smokies, casino weekends, or Sequoyah golf.

Good to know

You pull into a driveway and walk into the main level. The living room has a couch, armchairs, an electric fireplace, and a TV. The kitchen connects directly to the living area: stove, oven, fridge, microwave, Keurig, and basic pantry staples like salt and olive oil. Dining table seats four. Two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and closet space. The full bathroom has a tub/shower combo. Washer and dryer are on-site, which makes longer stays a lot easier. The deck has outdoor seating and looks straight into the trees. The yard is big enough to stretch your legs, and wildlife comes through regularly: deer, foxes, rabbits, the occasional lizard. At night it's dark and quiet. You'll hear owls and not much else. The house has the kind of lived-in comfort that works whether you're here for a weekend casino trip, a week of hiking, a golf outing at Sequoyah National (5 minutes away), or just somewhere quiet to land for a while. Harrah's Cherokee Casino: 10 minutes Downtown Bryson City: 10 minutes Great Smoky Mountains National Park: 17 minutes Nantahala Outdoor Center: 22 minutes Sequoyah National Golf Club: 5 minutes Food Lion (groceries): 8 minutes Ingles (Bryson City): 11 minutes

Other Details to Note
